Pemphigus Antibody Panel, IgG
Ordering Recommendation
Use as the preferred serum antibody panel to assess and monitor IgG-variant pemphigus (includes pemphigus foliaceus and pemphigus vulgaris), which present with blistering and erosive disease affecting skin and mucous membranes. Testing should be correlated with concurrent Direct Immunofluorescence, Tissue Biopsy (Cutaneous, Mucosal, Epithelial) (0092572).
To assess for other immunobullous diseases along with pemphigus, including the rare IgA pemphigus variant, order concurrently with serum Basement Membrane Zone Antibody Panel (3001410) and Pemphigus Antibodies, IgA by IIF (0092106). Alternatively, order Immunobullous Disease Antibody Panel (3001409).
