Ordering Recommendation
Aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of multiple myeloma, some B cell lymphoproliferative disorders, Waldenstrom's macroglobulilnemia, AL amyloidosis, and light chain deposition disease in conjunction with other laboratory and clinical findings. Identifies, quantitates, and characterizes monoclonal protein. Useful in initial diagnosis and throughout the treatment phase of patients with monoclonal gammopathy disorders. Preferred test is Protein Electrophoresis with Reflex to Immunofixation, Serum (2002109).
