Collect

Serum separator tube or plain red.

Specimen Preparation

Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 2.0 mL serum to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 1.0 mL). For multiple allergen orders refer to "Allergen Specimen Collection Instructions" at www.aruplab.com/testing/resources/specimen.

Storage/Transport Temperature

Refrigerated.

Unacceptable Conditions

Hemolyzed, icteric, or lipemic specimens.
