Use to detect and quantitate CBFB::MYH11 fusion transcripts (type A, D, or E) which result from inv(16) or t(16;16). Use to monitor for minimal residual disease (MRD) in patients with a known history of CBFB::MYH11 fusion transcripts (type A, D, or E) from inv(16) or t(16;16) and assess the risk of disease relapse.

Whole Blood: Transport 5 mL whole blood. (Min: 5 mL). Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Bone Marrow: Transport 3 mL bone marrow. (Min: 1 mL) Refrigerate immediately. Specimens must be received within 48 hours of collection due to lability of RNA.

Whole Blood or Bone Marrow: CRITICAL REFRIGERATED. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Unacceptable ConditionsCommon conditions under which a specimen will be rejected.
Serum, plasma, extracted DNA, CSF, FFPE tissue, ambient whole blood, or frozen whole blood or bone marrow. Specimens collected in anticoagulants other than EDTA. Severely hemolyzed or clotted specimens. Ambient bone marrow specimens past 7 days will be canceled. Refrigerated whole blood or bone marrow specimens past 7 days will be canceled.
