Use as an aid in differential diagnosis for patients with water balance disorders, including diabetes insipidus. May be useful in the evaluation of cardiovascular disease in conjunction with other cardiac markers.

Specimen Preparation

Transfer 2 mL plasma within 2 hours of collection to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 1 mL)
