Serum separator tube (SST) or plain red.

Specimen Preparation

Transfer 1 mL serum to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Preferred transport temp: Refrigerated. Also acceptable: Frozen

Unacceptable Conditions

Contaminated, heat-inactivated, grossly hemolyzed, or lipemic specimens.
