Specimen Required

Patient Preparation
Collect

Green (lithium heparin).

Specimen Preparation

Separate plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.4 mL)

Storage/Transport Temperature

CRITICAL FROZEN. Additional specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Ship in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Unacceptable Conditions

Refrigerated specimens. Contaminated or heat inactivated specimens.
