Ordering Recommendation

Detect antibodies for P/Q type and N-type voltage-gated calcium channels. Aid in the evaluation of muscle weakness in the context neuromuscular junction disorder with or without cancer, or the diagnosis of paraneoplastic neurological syndromes.

Collect

Plain Red or Serum Separator Tube (SST).

Specimen Preparation

Separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min.: 0.2 mL)
