Ambient: 72 hours; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: Unacceptable

Negative.
Interpretive Data
The stain will detect free-living amoeba such as Naegleria fowleri and Balamuthia mandrillaris.
The culture will detect free-living amoeba such as Acanthamoeba species and Naegleria fowleri but will NOT detect Balamuthia mandrillaris.
