Patient Preparation
Collect
Lavender (EDTA). Also acceptable: yellow (ACD Solution A).
Specimen Preparation
Transport 4 mL whole blood in original container. (Min: 1 mL)
Test is not performed at ARUP; separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Storage/Transport Temperature
Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions
Yellow (ACD Solution B) specimens. Clotted, grossly hemolyzed, or heparinized specimens.
