Rectal swab. Before submitting specimen(s), call (800) 242-2787, ext. 2248, to notify the Bacteriology Laboratory of the number of specimens being shipped and the date of shipment.

Specimen Preparation

Transport swab in Eswab transport media (ARUP Supply #45877). Available online through eSupply using ARUP Connect™ or contact ARUP Client Services at (800) 522-2787.
