Test is intended for patients 2 weeks-6 years of age. For patients 7 years and older, order Luteinizing Hormone, Serum (0070093).

Specimen Required

Patient Preparation
Collect

Serum separator tube (SST). Also acceptable: Lavender (EDTA).

Specimen Preparation

Separate serum from cells within 45 minutes. Transfer 1 mL serum to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL) Also acceptable: Plasma.
Test is not performed at ARUP; separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.

Storage/Transport Temperature

Frozen.
