Duodenal or gastric biopsy.
Preserve in Brucella broth with 20% glycerol immediately (ARUP supply #57678) available online through eSupply using ARUP Connect™ or contact ARUP Client Services at (800) 522-2787. Also acceptable: Brucella broth, BHI, or equivalent with or without 10-20 percent glycerol.
Refrigerated.
Fecal specimens or swabs.
