Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transport 1 mL serum. (Min: 0.15 mL)
Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 year (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
Less than 1:320 Negative - No significant level of Campylobacter jejuni IgG antibody detected.
Greater than or equal to 1:320 Positive - IgG antibody to Campylobacter jejuni detected, suggestive of current or past infection.
The best evidence for current infection is a significant change on two appropriately timed specimens, where both tests are done in the same laboratory at the same time.
