Specimen Preparation

Transfer two 4 mL aliquots from a well-mixed 24-hour urine collection into 2 ARUP Standard Transport Tubes or 2 ARUP Standard Transport Tubes containing 20 mg Sulfamic Acid (ARUP supply #48098) available online through eSupply using ARUP Connect™ or by contacting ARUP Client Services at (800) 522-2787. (Min: 3 mL/aliquot) Adequate refrigeration is the most important aspect of specimen preservation.
