Specimen Preparation

Transfer 1 mL serum to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.3 mL)

Unacceptable Conditions

Grossly hemolyzed specimens.

Stability

After separation from cells: Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 3 months; Frozen: 3 months (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
