Specimen Preparation

Fluid: Transfer to a sterile container.
Swab: Place in Eswab transport media (ARUP Supply #45877) available online through eSupply using ARUP Connect™ or contact ARUP Client Services at (800) 522-2787.
Scrapings: Place directly on culture media plates. Media is available from ARUP for direct inoculation, particularly for corneal scrapings.

Room temperature.
