Collect
Serum separator tube. Also acceptable: Green (sodium or lithium heparin).
Specimen Preparation
Transfer 0.5 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.3 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature
Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions
Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic specimens. EDTA plasma.

Stability
After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 6 months
