Serum separator tube.
Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL serum to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)

After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 8 days; Frozen: 3 months

Interpretive Data
A desirable fasting serum Apo B concentration in adults is 90 mg/dL or less. A borderline-high fasting serum Apo B concentration in adults is 90 to 99 mg/dL. A high fasting serum Apo B concentration in adults is 100 to 130 mg/dL. A very high fasting serum Apo B concentration in adults is greater than 130 mg/dL.
