Ordering Recommendation

Use to determine in-vitro susceptibility of cultured herpes simplex virus (HSV) isolates to foscarnet. Testing requires HSV isolate not available from direct patient specimens. If direct patient specimen is sent for testing, add Herpes Simplex Virus Culture (0065005).
