This test is not New York state approved. There are no New York state-approved laboratories available and NYDOH is not accepting Non-permitted Laboratory Requests (NPL). Do not submit sample to ARUP.

Plain red, serum separator tube (SST), lavender (K2 or K3EDTA), green (sodium or lithium heparin), light blue (sodium citrate), CSF, or BAL.
Specimen PreparationInstructions for specimen prep before/after collection and prior to transport.
Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 1.2 mL) Transfer 1 mL CSF to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 0.8 mL) Transfer 1 mL BAL to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min: 0.5 mL) Test is not performed at ARUP; separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Storage/Transport TemperaturePreferred temperatures for storage prior to and during shipping to ARUP. See Stability for additional info.
Frozen. Also acceptable: Room temperature or refrigerated.
