Ordering Recommendation
Aids in the detection and subclassification of hyperandrogenism. Most useful in women and children with moderate/severe hirsutism or hirsutism of any degree when it is sudden in onset or rapidly progressive. Measures androstenedione, DHEA, and free testosterone. Hirsutism Evaluation Panel is generally preferred.
