Patient Preparation
Collect

Serum separator tube, lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA), green (sodium or lithium heparin), or gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate).

Specimen Preparation

Allow serum specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.2 mL)

Refrigerated.
