Separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube and freeze immediately. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Pediatric reference values are the same as adults (Acta Paediatr Scand 1981;70:341-345). This assay measures intact ACTH 1-39; some types of synthetic ACTH and ACTH fragments are not detected by this assay.
