Transfer to a sterile tube or anaerobe transport media.

Place in bacterial transport media.

Room temperature.

Syringes with needle attached. Dry swabs.  
Remarks
Specimen source required. Anaerobe Culture (ARUP test code 0060143) will be performed on properly collected and transported specimens.
