Collect

24-hour urine. Urine must be refrigerated during collection. Also acceptable: Random urine.

Specimen Preparation

Mix 24 hour urine collection well. Transfer 4 mL to an ARUP standard transport tube. (Min 0.5 mL) Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form.

Frozen

Unacceptable Conditions

Urine collected in preservatives.
