Ordering Recommendation

Determine if the Jk(a) (JK1) antigen is expressed on the patient's red blood cells. To determine if the patient is heterozygous or homozygous for the Jk(a) antigen, JKB Antigen Typing - Patient (2007729) should also be ordered.

Lavender (K2EDTA) or Pink (K2EDTA).

Specimen Preparation

Do not freeze. Transport 7 mL whole blood. (Min: 0.5 mL)
