Note
The Fetal Screen is a qualitative screening test designed to detect larger than expected fetal-maternal hemorrhage in maternal specimens collected following delivery.  If positive, a quantitative test (Kleihauer-Betke) must be used to determine the extent of fetal-maternal hemorrhage and the dosage of Rh immune globulin required.
